Symptoms or signs of clutch disc failure
1. The clutch becomes higher. When the vehicle starts, you step on the clutch pedal. You can lift it by 1 cm, but now you need to lift it to 2 cm. This may be caused by the thinning of the clutch plate;
2. It feels that the power of the car has dropped. In the absence of any abnormality in the engine, whether starting or climbing, the car feels sluggish, the engine speed is high, or the power is insufficient, indicating that the clutch is slipping;
3. When you step on the clutch pedal or lift it up, you will hear the sound of metal friction, which is probably the result of severe wear of the clutch plate;
4. When you start, you feel uneven when you lift the clutch, the car has a sense of front and rear bumping, the pressure plate, stepping, and the jerky feeling when lifting the clutch, you need to replace the clutch disc.
Avoid damage to the clutch plate caused by human factors
Putting your foot on the clutch pedal for a long time during driving can easily cause clutch slippage and clutch disc ablation. In severe cases, it may even cause ablation and strain on the clutch pressure plate and flywheel end surface, as well as the annealing of the clutch compression spring. Therefore, it is recommended that when driving, do not step on the clutch pedal at all times except when the car starts, gear shifts and low-speed brakes need to be stepped on.
